Notice for Parents

We want to be clear and honest about what Alephi is, what it does, and what it doesn't do. This notice is for you, the parent, before your child uses the platform.

What Alephi is

Alephi is an educational AI platform designed to walk with children ages five to fourteen through their learning. It works like a curious friend who chats with your child, explains topics, asks them questions, and plays alongside them to learn.

What Alephi does

• Talks with your child in their language, calmly and at their pace.
• Explains academic concepts with examples they can understand.
• Supports homework and helps them grasp what was covered in class.
• Asks questions to guide thinking, not to evaluate.
• Plays, reads stories, and explores topics of interest.
• Adapts language and difficulty to the child's grade level.

What Alephi doesn't do

• Doesn't replace the parent, caregiver, or teacher.
• Doesn't give medical, psychological, or learning diagnoses.
• Doesn't collect data from the child beyond what the service needs.
• Doesn't sell, rent, or share child data with third parties.
• Doesn't show ads. Ever.
• Doesn't push in-app purchases.

How the AI works

Alephi runs on Google's AI models (the Gemini family) on Vertex AI. On top of those models we apply our own pedagogical filters to ensure the language is age-appropriate, the tone is warm, and the content is aligned with school curricula.

Limitations you should know

• AI can make mistakes. It isn't infallible.
• It may not understand some questions or might misinterpret them.
• It can give inaccurate answers. We encourage you to check what the AI explains together with your child.
• It won't always notice if your child is tired, frustrated, or distracted. That reading still belongs to you as the adult.

Usage recommendations

• Sessions of at most one hour in a row.
• Sit with your child during the first sessions, so they feel safe and you understand the experience.
• Talk with your child after each session about what they learned, what they enjoyed, and what was hard.
• Don't leave the session completely unsupervised. Alephi isn't a digital babysitter.
• Adjust schedules and time limits from the parent account.

Report inappropriate content or errors

If your child receives any answer that strikes you as inappropriate, inaccurate, or concerning, please write to us at hola@alephi.app telling us what happened. Every report helps us improve filters and pedagogical quality.

Delete your account

You can delete your family's account whenever you want by writing to privacidad@alephi.app. We'll process the request within thirty days at most and erase all associated data.
