Terms and Conditions

These terms describe how Alephi works. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms on your behalf and, where applicable, on behalf of your minor children.

Acceptance

By using Alephi, you confirm you've read, understood, and accepted these terms. If you disagree with any of them, please don't use the service.

Age and representation

• Minimum age to create an account: eighteen. Only parents or legal guardians can register.
• Child users: ages five to fourteen, always under supervision and with the explicit consent of their legal guardian.
• Children cannot create an account directly or grant consent on their own.

Family account

Alephi works as a single account per family. That means:

• Don't share the account with people outside the household.
• Don't create multiple accounts for the same person or the same family group.
• Keep credentials and handoff codes (used to start the child's session) private.

Prohibited conduct

• Sharing handoff codes with third parties outside the family.
• Using the platform for commercial, advertising, or resale purposes.
• Trying to access other families' accounts.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, or any technique to extract Alephi's pedagogical content.
• Using the service to harass, harm, or expose others, or for any illegal activity.

Intellectual property

Alephi's pedagogical content, brand, mascots, designs, and software belong to Alephi and are protected by Colombian and international intellectual property laws. Your account doesn't grant you any rights to exploit these assets.

Limitation of liability

Alephi is an educational tool powered by artificial intelligence. AI can make mistakes, give inaccurate answers, or misunderstand a question. Alephi walks alongside the learning process, but doesn't replace a responsible adult's supervision, formal schooling, or the professional judgment of a teacher, doctor, or psychologist.

Changes to these terms

Alephi reserves the right to modify these terms. If we do, we'll let you know by email at least thirty days in advance. If you keep using the service after the effective date, we'll understand you accept the new terms.

Termination

You can delete your account whenever you want by writing to privacidad@alephi.app. Alephi may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, notifying by email whenever possible.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute will be submitted to the judges and tribunals of the city of Bogotá D.C., waiving any other forum that might apply.
